Many clients report initial discomfort that diminishes quickly; waxing pulls hair from the root while shaving can cause nicks and irritation. Our technicians use calming techniques and aftercare to reduce soreness and speed recovery.
Arrive with at least 1/4 inch hair growth, avoid heavy exfoliation or retinoids 48 hours prior, skip caffeine and alcohol, and wear comfortable clothing. Communicate concerns so your esthetician can tailor the service.
Hair should be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long (roughly 6–12 mm) so the wax can grip properly. If hair is too short, we may ask you to wait a week for optimal results.
Most clients schedule touch-ups every 4–6 weeks depending on individual growth patterns. Regular appointments often lead to finer regrowth and easier, less painful waxing sessions over time.
Brazilian waxing is generally safe during pregnancy and menstruation, though sensitivity may increase. Please notify us if you are pregnant or menstruating so we can adjust comfort measures and ensure your comfort.
Expect slight redness or tenderness for 24–48 hours. Avoid hot baths, heavy exercise, tight clothing, and sun exposure immediately after. Use soothing, fragrance-free products and exfoliate gently after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.
