Get answers to common questions about Inner Thigh.
Exfoliate gently 48–72 hours before, avoid heavy lotions or sunscreens day-of, and ensure hair is about 1/4 inch long. Arrive clean and wear loose clothing. If concerned about sensitivity, discuss numbing options or pain management with your esthetician before the service.
Many clients feel brief discomfort or stinging during waxing, but sessions are short and estheticians use techniques to minimize pain. Sensitivity varies by individual; regular waxing typically reduces discomfort over time. Discuss concerns with your technician for calming measures.
Most people notice regrowth in three to six weeks depending on hair cycle; individual factors like hormones affect rate. With consistent waxing, regrowth becomes finer and sparser. Maintain scheduling every 4–6 weeks for smooth results.
Waxing can temporarily increase risk of ingrown hairs or irritation if aftercare is neglected, but professional techniques and proper post-treatment care greatly reduce problems. Exfoliate regularly, use soothing products, and avoid tight clothing to help prevent bumps and inflammation.
Aftercare includes avoiding hot baths, saunas, swimming, or strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours, as excessive heat and sweat can irritate newly waxed skin. Skip tanning, tight clothing, and strong exfoliants during this time; apply a calming antiseptic lotion if needed.
Optimal hair length is about a quarter inch (approximately 6mm) so wax can grip properly. If hair is longer we may trim slightly; if too short, wait for regrowth. Regular appointments help maintain ideal length.
