Get answers to common questions about Chin.
A chin-only wax usually takes 10–20 minutes from consultation to finish. Time includes brief sanitization and post-wax soothing. If combined with other services it may take longer; arrive with hair at least 1/4 inch for best results.
Minor redness or sensitivity can appear for a few hours after waxing, but we use gentle techniques and soothing products to minimize irritation. Regular exfoliation and following aftercare greatly reduce ingrown hairs; we provide tailored aftercare advice to prevent them.
Cleanse the area and avoid heavy lotions or oils; allow hair to be at least 1/4 inch long (about two weeks growth). Skip retinol or strong exfoliants 48 hours prior. Arrive with a clean, dry face for best wax adhesion.
Most clients return every 3–6 weeks depending on individual growth rates. Regular waxing can reduce density and slow regrowth over time. We'll recommend a personalized schedule based on your hair growth pattern and desired maintenance.
Sensitivity varies; some discomfort is normal but brief. Our technicians use fast, professional techniques and numbing options when appropriate to minimize pain. Many clients find it more comfortable than repeated shaving irritation and appreciate the long-lasting smooth results.
Shaving between sessions is fine but avoid immediately before an appointment—hair needs sufficient length for the wax to grip. Trimming is acceptable. Frequent shaving won’t harm the skin long term but may alter the expected regrowth schedule between waxes.
